Flood Relief

Following the Mayor of Tewkesbury’s inspiration, Lions Club of Cheltenham opened a book shop in Cheltenham High Street for 3  weeks and raised £6,500 towards helping those unfortunates caught by the flooding in Gloucestershire.  The cheque was presented by Chairman Ron White to the Mayor of Cheltenham, Cllr John Rawson in the Mayor's Parlour.
Harmonic scalpel is set to save lives

Surgeons at Cheltenham General Hospital can perform keyhole surgery on bowel cancer  patients for the first time.  Cheltenham Lions Club raised £7,000 to buy a harmonic scalpel, meaning patients can have less invasive surgery and a quicker  recovery time.  It can cut through tissue and seal blood vessels, so that the cut doesn't bleed at all.   On average patients should recover three days earlier.
Seat added to play area
This play area was originally presented by the Lions Club of Cheltenham in 1985.

This seat was given by the Lions Club to mark the opening of the Lions Club Toddler Play Area in 2007.
